Who we are
Whisker Warriors Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Lee County, Florida, with a mission to reduce the overpopulation of stray and feral cats through humane and effective Trap-Neuter-Return programs, fostering and adoption as well as public education. We aim to improve the welfare of community cats while promoting responsible pet ownership and reducing the strain on local shelters and animal control agencies.
TNR Program
Our core program is a humane Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) initiative to stabilize the community cat population.
- Trapping: Volunteers locate and safely capture stray and feral cats using humane traps in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and surrounding areas.
- Neutering: Cats are transported to participating veterinary clinics for spay/neuter surgeries, rabies vaccinations, and ear-tipping to signify treatment.
- Return or Re-home: Feral cats are returned to their original colonies post recovery. Adoptable cats and kittens are placed into foster care for socialization and adoption placement.
This program helps reduce disease transmission, fighting, and nuisance behaviors, while lowering euthanasia rates at shelters.
